When we show up to our yoga mats, it is easy to feel the profound benefits from our practice. The more challenging task is to carry the insights gained on the mat with us into our hurried lives.

So often the rigor of our day to day schedules leaves us with little time to reflect on how we are spending our precious energy. For many of us it is hard to create space for this reflection but the clarity it brings is immeasurable.

On this 6-night retreat set amidst Montana’s majestic Rocky mountains we will practice daily vinyasa yoga, meditation, inquiry, and mindful living. Join natural foods chef, vibrant vinyasa yoga and mindful meditation teacher, and consummate student of life Lauren Lewis for an exploration of what it truly means “be here now.” When we carve out space to engage in the present moment we can awaken to a deeper knowing, our intuition — that which can guide us toward a more peaceful and attentive state of being.

On and Off the Mat: Yoga and the Practice of Mindful LivingDaily Schedule:

6am-7:30am — Coffee, tea and fruit
7:45-9:15am —  Morning session (mediation/vinyasa yoga)
9:30am — Breakfast
10:30am-1pm — Hiking, massage and bodywork, standup paddleboarding or workshop time
1pm — Lunch
4-6pm — Afternoon session (group workshop/yin or vinyasa yoga)
6:30pm — Dinner
7:45pm — Bonfire, kick back and be time

Let’s gather together on Feathered Pipe’s sacred ground, slow down and compassionately take inventory in the sprit of re-orienting toward true health — body, mind and spirit

WHAT LAUREN’S STUDENTS & RETREAT ATTENDEES SAY:

Yoga And The Practice Of Mindful Living - Lauren Lewis Yoga“Being on retreat with Lauren is a blissful gift! Her teaching and presence are a rare combination of unconditional love and heartfelt, grounded intelligence and she creates that gracious, nurturing, accepting space for all. Lauren’s sequencing, cueing and flows are expert. She brings humor, joy and her own truths about this complicated human experience to each class she leads, plus I love her playlists. In Lauren’s presence, with her care, it feels like coming home to my best self.”

“Lauren is a welcoming, creative and highly skilled yoga practitioner and teacher. More importantly, for me, her beautiful, warm spirit infuses each class she teaches. Her classes are physically invigorating and restorative, but also inspire thoughts and feelings relating to who I am as a person. Without fail, I leave each class of hers feeling better about myself and my fellow humans.”

“Mindfulness and kindness are how Lauren steps on the earth each day. She brings that into our practice, and we are grateful to Lauren for that.”

RETREAT TIP! Extend your time in peace and beauty while savoring Western hospitality by spending some time exploring the great West’s National Park treasures either before or after your time with Lauren at the Feathered Pipe Ranch. Glacier National Park is a glorious and scenic 3.5-hour drive north and west of Feathered Pipe, while Yellowstone is just a 4.5 hour drive south and east of the Ranch through some of the prettiest Western territory you’ll ever see.

ABOUT LAUREN LEWIS:

Yoga and the Practice of Mindful Living - Lauren Lewis

Lauren’s teachings weave a fabric full of challenging flows, invitations to evolve with kindness, and an understanding that vulnerability is the pathway to connection. Her approachable teaching style incorporates her passion for fluid sequences, her love of music and her extensive background as a natural foods chef and student/ teacher of vinyasa yoga.

After nearly two decades of personal chef, catering, and culinary education work Lauren has noticed that the practice of mindful cooking and eating share a huge amount of parallels with the practice of yoga. She loves to weave the wisdom of these two healing modalities into her classes.

Practitioners can expect classes that help them discern where their unique edge is and move toward it with compassion. Lauren embraces the idea that the more we can show up and love ourselves, the more we can get out of our way to shape the world around us positively. Outside of the studio, you can find Lauren hiking, camping, or biking in the mountains of Boulder, Colorado with her family or cooking up a storm in her kitchen.
