There’s nothing quite like the archetypal feeling of coming home.
This retreat invites you to return — to yourself, to presence, to what matters most.
Join David and Augusta Kantra for a week of mindfulness and embodied practices designed to guide you home in the most powerful and compassionate ways. Drawing from their decades of experience as therapists, mindfulness teachers, and yoga instructors, they weave together a rich tapestry of practices that support you in slowing down and reconnecting with your truest self — a homecoming worthy of celebration.
Practicing Mindfulness
Through mindful movement, journaling, contemplation, and meditation, you’ll explore what gives your life meaning, what stands in the way of living fully, and how to cultivate greater engagement, joy, and purpose.
All practices are accessible to everyone; no prior experience is necessary. What is required, however, is simply a sincere curiosity to look within, connect with others, and explore what it truly means to live mindfully.
For one sacred week at Feathered Pipe Ranch, where every detail is crafted with care and every meal, sunrise, and shared silence nourishes the soul, you’ll find yourself surrounded by nature and by kindred spirits — people who, like you, are longing to live more mindful and wholehearted lives. You’ll be guided by leaders who have devoted their lives to cultivating presence, connection, and purpose. Together, these ingredients create a retreat experience that will leave you seeing more clearly, feeling more deeply, and returning to your life with renewed enthusiasm and heart.

How precious are the moments when our needs are taken care of by others and we are given the opportunity to dive deeper into our inner world, guided by seasoned experts with hearts as big as the Big Sky over Feathered Pipe Ranch in Montana! What a tremendous gift to all of us, and we are each changed and fortified with vitality and renewed vision. Thank you both, for making the world a safer and richer place.”
“Wow! I showed up to celebrate Tom’s 60th not knowing many details about the week, David and Augusta, or the focus of the retreat. What a surprise to encounter such a beautiful community being guided by two embodied and inspiring souls! In a situation where I might feel insecure or doubt myself, I felt welcome and accepted and truly felt part of the beautiful Fairhope community. It was a perfect blend of movement, teaching and free time in one of the most beautiful settings. David and Augusta, thank you for the time, effort and thoughtfulness that went into creating such a lovely experience for each of us. I left feeling centered and calm by the teaching, movement, and community. I look forward to future opportunities to work with you both and experience the beautiful community you have built.”
“Augusta & David, You both are such amazing people and together, you’re even better. I took a leap of faith and I was rewarded in ways you may never know. The friendships, breakthroughs, quiet moments, fantastic natural surroundings, and your teachings led me just where I needed to be. Thank you so much. I bow to you both!”

The energy created in this environment was spirit filled, encouraging, and inspirational. The teachings illuminated my old habit patterns and thinking and I feel empowered to make the changes I’m seeking.”
“Thank you, Augusta and David for planning and executing such a deeply moving experience. You two never cease to amaze me. And to all of the new friends who joined us, I loved meeting you all. The connections, teachings, scenery, laughs, hikes, food…just all of it a wonderful renewal process.”
Coming together at Feathered Pipe Ranch was a life-changing experience for me. I was inspired and uplifted and that feeling hasn’t left after a full week of being home! I’m still on that ‘mountain top’ high and look forward to returning in 2026!”

ABOUT AUGUSTA & DAVID KANTRA:
Hi, we are Augusta and David Kantra. We have been married for over 40 years and have two wonderful daughters with whom we are lucky enough to share our practice. We each have a private psychotherapy practice, and together we provide a variety of groups & workshops in yoga, mindfulness, personal growth, and life improvement. Also, both of us are advanced Yoga Teacher Trainers (E-RYT 500) and Certified Professional Mindfulness Teachers (CPMT).
Here’s a bit about each of us…
David: I’m a graduate of the University of Denver & University of Notre Dame. I work as a private-practice Clinical Psychologist, Business Consultant, & Life Transition Mentor. In my almost 40 years of clinical experience, I have remained an avid student of life, always striving to understand the nature of being, the process of finding purpose & meaning in our lives, and teaching others simple, applicable ways to go about making their lives more calm, satisfying, and meaningful. In this vein, much of my effort is focused on developing and facilitating our year-long courses and our retreats, where participants gain insight into what they feel is missing from their lives, decide how they want to write the next chapter of their lives, and learn how to go about doing so.
Augusta: I do individual wellness and self-discovery work and I lead several on-going self-discovery and mindfulness groups. My passion for the journey of awakening infuses everything I do – my psychotherapy practice, my groups, my training and mentoring of yoga students, and my yoga classes. I attribute my successful battle with colon cancer to my dedication to live life to its fullest and to help others do the same. A great joy of mine was writing the book, Wisdom Seeds: Inspiration to sow, grow, and reap through the seasons. In 2019, poet laureate, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, and I began co-facilitating an online focused writers’ group called Soul Writers Circle. It’s a fun way to explore and discover.
And…
David and Augusta love teaching and learning together. Both of us were trained by Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Rolf Gates, Martin Seligman, Phillip Moffitt, and Pema Chodron. In our work, we bring together teachings from psychology, mindfulness, business, and Eastern philosophy to illuminate and instruct others in ways to open the heart and connect the mind, body, and spirit. It is our joy to conduct workshops, retreats and trainings in yoga, mindfulness, and self-discovery.
