Hatha Yoga, Mindfulness & Meditation
Alie has studied yoga and meditation since 1994 and has been teaching since 1999. Her teacher is Erich Schiffmann and her passion for yoga has led her to travel across the United States and around the globe to study with some of the world’s foremost teachers including Angela Farmer, Patricia Sullivan and Barbara Benagh. Alie brings a grounded yet joyful and open-hearted energy to her teaching creating a loving and fun space to explore and discover you very own teacher within.
Anne’s teaching draws on inspiration from her most influential teachers: Erich Schiffmann, every fine poet, Hanuman, her cheeky teacher within, and the teacher that’s inspired her most—the Feathered Pipe Ranch itself. This accessible-to-all class is all about tinkering and experimenting with what it’s like to listen for guidance from within, informed by intelligent, safe, breath-driven, customized alignment that adapts to each student’s unique requirements.

Erich is one of the most respected mentors and yoga teachers in America. Having studied first-hand with Jiddu Krishnamurti, BKS Iyengar, TKV Desikachar, Dona Holleman, Vanda Scaravelli, Joel Kramer, Rajpur and others, he has gleaned the best of all of their teachings during his almost fifty years of practice and distilled them within his own experience of yoga.
Eve is an Iyengar Yoga teacher on the faculty of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York & Brooklyn. She has taught since 2005, and now teachers at the Junior Intermediate Two level. Eve is also co-owner of Samamkāya Yoga Back Care & Scoliosis Collective, a studio dedicated exclusively to yoga for back care and scoliosis, and founder of The Nerve of Expression, a community project offering yoga to artists with multiple sclerosis.
Gernot has developed a teaching style that incorporates techniques from Iyengar, Ashtanga, Anusara, Forrest, and Kripalu yoga. In his teaching he also incorporates insights from yogic and Buddhist philosophy and from anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience. He skillfully integrates down-to-earth discussions of breath, alignment, anatomy, and awareness in his classes and workshops.
John is a certified Advanced Iyengar Yoga Teacher, one of only 14 teachers in the U.S. to hold that level of certification. He spent 36 years studying with B.K.S. Iyengar and also many years studying with internationally acclaimed teacher Dona Holleman. He is a dear friend of the Feathered Pipe, along with Patricia Walden, were long-time program presenters at the Ranch.
Neta has been teaching Iyengar Yoga since 1998 (certified Junior 1). Her style of teaching is deeply rooted in her architecture background, and her love of anatomy. With thoughtful understanding of structure and space, Neta guides students towards a profound understanding of the body and its potential.
Dr. Daniel J. Libby founded the Veterans Yoga Project as an effort to increase the resources that are available to Veterans with post-traumatic stress and other trauma-related difficulties and to the yoga therapists who work with them. The five tools of the VYP Mindful Resilience protocol: breathwork, meditation, mindful movement, guided rest, and gratitude, help practitioners to breathe easy, focus clearly, move freely, rest deeply, and develop an “attitude of gratitude”.

Jean Shinoda Bolen, MD is a Jungian analyst, activist, internationally-known speaker and author of 13 influential books, inspiring women to actively make a difference supported by being in circles with a sacred center.
Joseph Lamb, MD is the owner of the Personalized Lifestyle Medicine Clinic by Metagenics in Gig Harbor, Washington. He works in partnership with his patients to create optimal health and well-being by using Functional Medicine approaches including lifestyle modification, herbal and nutritional therapies, and cognitive therapy approaches.

Music & Sound Therapy
Matthew has studied East Indian and West African music for the past 18 years with a variety of teachers. Matthew has experience and training in jazz, classical, and Hindustani vocal technique and is also an accomplished jazz and classical guitarist. A dedicated and charismatic educator, Matthew has a passion for rhythm, harmonic relationships, and the healing and community building potentials of music.
Of Navajo-Ute heritage, R. Carlos Nakai is the world’s premier performer of the Native American flute. Nakai has earned two gold records for “Canyon Trilogy” and “Earth Spirit” and has received eleven GRAMMY nominations in four different categories and earned a Governor’s Arts Award. Nakai’s career has been shaped by a desire to communicate a sense of Native American culture and society that transcends the common stereotypes presented in mass media. Restorative Yoga, Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda
Baxter is the co-author of the book “Yoga for Healthy Aging” and co-founder of the blog of same name. He focuses on teaching yoga full time to ordinary students of all ages and physical conditions as well as the next generation of yoga teachers.
Cora is a Restorative Yoga Trainer, and Founder of Yoga Bloom Teacher Training and Yoga Bloom Lab Yoga therapy program. Her style is a funky fusion of Chinese tradition, Western humor, anatomy, and humble-Buddhist-meets-meridian-magic. She’s a yoga teacher’s teacher who has tapped deeply into the veins of teachings from a broad swath of respected American yogis.
Donna Farhi is a yoga teacher who has been practicing for 39 years and teaching since 1982. Her approach to yoga is informed by the refinement of natural and universal movement principles that underlie safe and sustainable yoga practice. This concentration on fundamental principles allows student of all levels of experience and from all traditions to build their own authentic yoga practice.
Diane is the author of highly acclaimed book, Instructing Hatha Yoga: A Guide for Teachers and Students. She holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science, with an emphasis on Kinesiology. Diane is a runner, hiker, anatomy geek, and an amazing yoga therapist who has helped students self heal from severe spinal and other orthopedic injuries.
Judith taught at the very first workshop ever held at Feathered Pipe Ranch in 1975. She brings broad and deep experience across many disciplines and in a multitude of settings. She holds a doctorate in East West Psychology, is a physical therapist, and began her yoga teaching career in 1971. She is co-founder of the Iyengar Institute of San Francisco and of Yoga Journal.
Lanita has been teaching Gentle-Classical Yoga full-time since 1996. She has owned and operated A Gentle Way Yoga in San Diego, CA for over 20 years. Her students fondly know Lanita as the “Queen of relaxation and modifications.” She has helped thousands of “couch potatoes,” students with body issues, and chronic illness find a joyful, effective path to overall well-being, inner healing, and loving self-respect.
Lauren is the author of Energy Medicine Yoga: Amplify the Healing Power of Your Yoga Practice and The Energy Medicine Yoga Prescription. She is the founder of Energy Medicine Yoga which is based on the work of Energy Medicine pioneer Donna Eden. Energy Medicine Yoga brings a depth, breadth and magic to this ancient practice.
Marla Apt is a senior intermediate level Iyengar Yoga teacher who has been involved with medical research studies at UCLA on yoga for depression, anxiety and IBS and created the first yoga therapy content to be incorporated into the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine’s curriculum. She is a writer/contributor for Yoga Journal and Yoga International magazines.
Melina is a pioneer in the field of yoga, nutrition, and Ayurvedic health. Her passion for Nature, the five elements, beauty, and humor forge the foundation of her unique approach to well-being.

Richard is a world-renowned spiritual teacher, author, yogic scholar, researcher and clinical psychologist, who has combined traditional yogic practice with Western psychology and neuroscience. In addition to founding the iRest Institute, Richard was also the co-founder of The International Association of Yoga Therapy.
Vinyasa Flow, Embodied Movement & Bhakti Yoga
Caitlin is an Embodied Yoga Therapist/Teacher and Co-Owner of The Lotus in Helena MT, who uses the physical, intellectual and spiritual practice of yoga to process trauma, lift out of depression, and balance anxiety. She uses tools from Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Reiki, Thai Massage, LifeForce Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga and is currently in the process of getting her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Certification.
Jamie rediscovered her love of dance while in graduate school for counseling and has been teaching dance and movement therapy for over 15 years. She integrates mindfulness, self-acceptance, play and compassion with leading-edge trauma and grief tools such as EMDR, body-centered somatic modalities, sand tray therapy, waking dream therapy, writing therapy, journey work, earth-based sessions, meditation and movement therapy.
Jennifer Prugh is the founder of Breathe Together Yoga and the JOY of Yoga 200 Hour and 300 Hour teacher trainings. She teaches Joy of Vinyasa and Joy of Flow, a creative and exploratory form of moving meditation. She developed the Tapas series, a seasonal approach to taking care of the body through movement and breath.
Nat devotion-filled classes are invigorating and simultaneously nurturing as he creates a space filled with focus, kindness, laughter, chanting and great music to safely explore the deep benefits of the practice. These insightful, nourishing gatherings will include discussion, chanting, and a well-rounded hatha based flow practice. Classes are suitable for all levels.
Nathan resides in Portland, OR, offering yoga and body work, working privately with clients as a nutritional counselor and yoga therapist, and also lecturing publicly at studios, universities, and corporations.

Shannon is a 500 E-RYT Yoga Medicine teacher. She specializes in yin, vinyasa, and meditation and has additional training in mindfulness meditation and Thai Yoga bodywork. She is owner of This Land Yoga & co-founder of Awake OKC, a non-profit organization that offers weekly meditation classes and mindfulness training for public schools, prisons, and recovery programs
Stacy started her career in health 25 years ago with a degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition and went on the receive her certification in personal training and health coaching and her 500 hour yoga teacher training. The emphasis in her class is on listening to your inner voice, connecting with breath and moving in a way that feels good to the body.
