“Each of us is a miniature universe, a mirror of the natural world outside of ourselves, and also a mirror of the spiritual world. All the knowledge and the secrets of those two worlds are inside of us, and everything is in perfect arrangement”

– Brant Secunda

Join Brant Secunda as he returns to the Feathered Pipe Ranch for a Summer Solstice celebration. Embrace the light of the summer season and learn ancient techniques to connect with the spiritual world of nature. Awaken your soul, empower your body, and open the flower of your heart through the practice of Huichol Shamanism.

The Healing Way of the Heart: A Summer Solstice RetreatShamanism is a way of living in harmony with nature. Discover the ancient wisdom utilized for millennia by the indigenous Huichol culture to help you live a more balanced and peaceful life.

Delve into this 7-day retreat to experience the power and beauty of the Huichol traditions. Find clarity for your life through simple, yet profound teachings. Learn to tap into the life force of the earth and find yourself in the center of the 4 elements, as the 5th direction. Purify the mind with the breath of life, heal the body with the sound of flowing waters, uncover the wisdom from the light of Grandfather Fire, and ground in the love of Mother Earth.

This retreat provides an opportunity to join in a sacred circle of community and learn from Brant through his humorous storytelling, while also partaking in powerful ceremony to help facilitate both personal and planetary healing. The days will include a balance of lecture, guided practice, outdoor ceremony and ritual, pilgrimages in nature, and time for reflections and relaxation on the beautiful grounds of the Feathered Pipe Ranch.

During this week, you will with learn to:

Journey to the 4 directions through guided spiritual practices to release negative emotions and bring positive energy into your heart.
Awaken with daily morning ritual to empower your dream state and brighten both yourself and the world.
Rejuvenate your body, heart, and spirit with ancient chants and the healing sound of the drum and rattle.
Connect with the life force of nature through the art of pilgrimage and learn to internalize the energy of places of power.
Celebrate your life in sacred ceremony and dance your prayers into the altar of Mother Earth.

What is Shamanism?

Shamanism is an ancient healing tradition and way of life. Ceremony, sacred dance,
vision quest, and pilgrimages to places of power in nature are all essential aspects of
Shamanism. Through these techniques, the shamanic circle embraces us, unifying our
lives with strength, healing, and love.

WHAT BRANT’S PAST ATTENDEES SAY:

A Summer Solstice Retreat - Feathered Pipe Ranch “Brant has shown me the power of balance. He has brought hope to my life and trust in all of life to my heart. But the scope of his work goes well beyond just the person. Brant gives us all a chance to pray for the earth and all who live on her. And there is perhaps no more important time to do just that than right now!”

“Why do I need to be in a workshop with a group of people to connect with nature and the earth around me? I don’t – but the group offers me the opening to learn, to be with a teacher who sends us out into nature with lessons on how to connect in a powerful way. Spending time sitting on the earth communicating with each direction is a language from the heart. Learning ways to be with and part of nature, so much more than being in nature. I feel it differently, maybe because it is shared, and when I leave the group the feelings stay with me. They grow the more I continue to connect with the light, air, water, and earth.”

“I have been truly blessed to have Brant in my life as well as this special, sacred, tradition. It has changed my life in ways that I never thought were possible. I am truly grateful for all the
blessings I have received.”

I have found Brant Secunda to be a devoted shaman, bringing the spiritual messages of the Huichol tribe in Mexico to many other cultures in the world and inspiring us with their purity of purpose – to love the Earth and bring balance to our lives through the beauty of this Earth.

RETREAT TIP! Extend your time in peace and beauty while savoring Western hospitality by spending some time exploring the great West’s National Park treasures either before or after your retreat with Brant at the Ranch. Glacier National Park is a glorious and scenic 3.5-hour drive north and west of Feathered Pipe, while Yellowstone is just a 4.5 hour drive south and east of the Ranch through some of the prettiest Western territory you’ll ever see.
