Join senior-level Iyengar Yoga instructor and founder of Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics, Marla Apt for a combination of explorative yoga practice focused on transforming our habitual patterns into opportunity for greater freedom and ease surrounded by the abundant and supportive nature of the Feathered Pipe Ranch.
This six-day yoga retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with the body, breath, and deeper layers of the self. Through the practices of asana and pranayama, yoga become a gateway to exploring what is often left unseen—inviting greater awareness, curiosity, and self-understanding.
The practice offers an opportunity to discover balance: in the muscles and joints, in the breath, and in the mind and emotions. We can observe, question, and experience ourselves from a clear, nonjudgmental perspective.
The practice of asana calls for commitment and the courage to move beyond perceived limitations. At the same time, surrender creates the space to soften, listen, and access deeper levels of awareness. Within the eight-limbed path of ashtanga yoga, effort and surrender are both essential elements of transformation.
Over the course of six days, we will explore how these complementary qualities can support one another in asana and pranayama. Through movement, breath, reflection, and rest, the retreat will offer an opportunity to transform patterns of tension and weakness into greater ease, resilience, and freedom—on and off the mat.

WHAT MARLA’S PAST RETREAT ATTENDEES SAY:
“My experience at the ranch excelled expectations and prepared me for a wonderful experience with yoga in the years to come. I feel a new sense of inspiration and commitment to my practice and study. You helped me to understand that yoga is not a destination, rather than a journey. This morning I practiced yoga at home and incorporated many of your teachings into my practice. I am pleased with how your teachings are already showing in my practice. When I registered for the retreat I had expectations of learning and personal development. I had no idea that the results would be so profound. Again, thank you. Your teaching style is amazing; so clear, precise, challenging and inspiring. I feel very fortunate to have been taught by you. Thank you for bringing the writings of Patanjali, and the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar to me. I am profoundly grateful.”
“Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your retreat at Feathered Pipe. Being immersed in yoga with your gentle touch and tremendous yoga knowledge was a wonderful gift. I hope to join you for another retreat.”
“I wanted to say thank you, so very much, for a really spectacular week of yoga at the ranch. I really needed it, and I felt grateful every day to be in your class, and to work and have space and time to absorb information and work through things. Your teaching felt so steady, calm, grounded, and present, and I really do feel lucky to have spent the week learning from you.”
