Dear Friends,
I hope you are doing well as we inch into the New Year.
During this time of year the Feathered Pipe Ranch is largely in hibernation. The snow-covered grounds are peacefully quiet during the day, but there is a surprisingly busy nightlife with roaming foxes and mating mountain lions. Nature has a chance to reset and refresh.
While we await spring at the Ranch when we can open up for our in-person programs, the Feathered Pipe Foundation works throughout the year to build and serve a broad community by providing quality and accessible-to-all information online and by keeping connected with you.
Please visit our community page to explore the many ways to keep in touch with our community all year long.
Through our newsletter and social media we will announce regular new additions to our Feathered Pipe Kitchen Blog, Feathered Pipe Blog: Voice of the Wisdom Holders, and The Dandelion Effect Podcast.
Feathered Pipe Kitchen Blog
This week we are happy to share a delicious baklava recipe from Feathered Pipe Kitchen. (Thank you, Ian!) Yum! Check out the recipe and visit our Kitchen blog for other Feathered Pipe classic recipes.
The Dandelion Effect Podcast
Season 3 of The Dandelion Effect Podcast brings our next guest, dear new friend Kara Ware. Kara has been on a 17-year journey with her son Zachary, who was diagnosed with Autism just before his third birthday.
Her family is living proof that there is another way to approach this diagnosis–and that there’s a bigger red flag in our lifestyles and environment that is begging to be noticed. Our changing planet is having drastic effects on human health and our species is facing unprecedented challenges. Autism is the canary in the coalmine. An invitation to look deeper into our history, our food, water, air, stress. Listen to A New Narrative For Healing Autism.

Scholarship Program 2023
Another way we work to widen our community and make our programs accessible is through Our Scholarship Program. On February 12th, we will start taking scholarship applications for our 2023 hosted workshops.
Thank you to the many generous donors who already contributed towards this worthy cause. We are still raising money for the scholarship fund as well as some on-site projects as we didn’t yet reach our goal. With the help of the end-of-year donations, we’ve earmarked $30,000 towards the 2023 scholarship fund, but we are hoping to be able to get that up to $40,000 to be able to serve more people. Donate here.
We hope you enjoy these resources and love to stay in touch with you all.
With love and gratitude,
Crystal Water
