Yoga is often described as a path of self-realization or gaining wisdom of our true nature. According to yoga’s philosophy, the multifaceted self, housed in the body, is comprised of the same underlying qualities that pervades nature. In the week of yoga practice and rejuvenation, we will use asana and pranayama to somatically experience our inherent qualities and channel our energy for health and well-being.

.Cultivate Energy And Resilience: An Iyengar Yoga Retreat - yoga therapyExtended morning and afternoon yoga practices will build throughout our week together. The sequencing and schedule will allow for both challenge and restoration. The mixed-level teaching and progressive approach will allow for you to practice at your level. Join senior-level Iyengar Yoga instructor and founder of Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics, Marla Apt for a combination of explorative practice and the settling into our unique nature that occurs effortlessly surrounded by the pristine nature of the Feathered Pipe Ranch.

Daily Schedule:

7am — Breakfast
9am-12pm — Asana practice
12:30pm — Lunch/free time
4:00pm-6pm — Pranayama & yoga philosophy discussion
6:30pm — Dinner/free time
7:45pm — Evening hikes, bonfires & free time to enjoy just being

* Wednesday afternoon optional excursion to Tizer Botanic Gardens & Arboretum

Between daily classes with Marla, plenty of leisure time remains for you to savor the afterglow of your practice in an unspoiled Rocky Mountain setting that features soft mountain breezes, a sparkling lake, the healing scent of pines, and star-studded night skies. And lovingly prepared vegetarian cuisine throughout the week will nourish your body — and thrills your taste buds!

“When I registered for the retreat I had expectations of learning and personal development. I had no idea that the results would be so profound. Marla’s teaching style is amazing; so clear, precise, challenging and inspiring. I feel very fortunate to have been taught by Marla.”
