“We are a living, breathing manifestation of this beautiful and generous planet. Knowing this, we can begin to transform our relationship to the earth.”
Dear Friends,
As we start to wake the Feathered Pipe Ranch up out of its seasonal hibernation, the ground is still covered in snow. While the Ranch was resting, we’ve been anything but dormant as we’ve mapped out facility improvements, provided ongoing networking for Feathered Pipe friends and teachers, and continued to produce The Dandelion Effect Podcast and publishing online articles.
While we haven’t been sitting around idly, I feel we are all coming out of a sort of hibernation as we start to engage more socially and travel again. It sure feels good!
Next week, our incredible and dedicated crew will reunite to de-winterize the buildings, clean, and install/implement upgrades big and small so we are ready to open for guests on June 1! Not too many spoilers just yet, but our new yoga mats are ordered and Sam Wieland will return as Culinary Director (and homemade pasta may just be on the menu.)
If you haven’t registered yet, now is a good time to do it as our 2022 summer retreat programs are filling up. Most of the $30,000 from our donor-funded scholarship fund has been awarded! However, we do have just a couple scholarships still available for Baxter Bell and Melina Meza’s upcoming July retreat. Please check out their fresh article Cultivating Everyday Awe? and try out their free mini-class to get a feel of what’s in store for you.
The Dandelion Effect Podcast
With each new episode of our Podcast, I’m impressed, inspired, and filled with the joy of being reassured and reminded of just how interconnected we all are. We are not alone and we can truly succeed in anything we put our energy into. My Aunt VJ’s tales of her life of uninhibited adventure that eventually helped her find contentment in herself at her own kitchen table remind us that happiness comes from within.
This week, philanthropist and entrepreneur, Dave Morin joins us with Seeking Balance in the Age of Technology. Dave and I haven’t met in person, yet we somehow feel like we have because our lives have so many serendipitous intersections. From having grown up in Helena and having quite a few mutual friends, to being involved in nonprofit organizations—Esalen and Feathered Pipe Foundation—dedicated to helping people reach their true potential through exploring their higher consciousness, our connections are many.
Here’s to coming out of hibernation!
With gratitude,
Crystal Water
Executive Director of Feathered Pipe Foundation
