Life’s Richness is in the Stories – Crystal Water

Dear Friends,

The Feathered Pipe Ranch been organized, polished, drained, put into hibernation with the bears until the spring. We are incredibly thankful for all the members of our team who contributed a great deal of love, respect, and joy to the Ranch this year. Simply Wow!

If you haven’t had a chance to register yet, our early season and main season retreats are now listed on the website and ready for registration! Please check in the next few weeks for our September workshops.

Oh, The Stories We Can Tell

Life's Richness is in the Stories - Crystal WaterOne of our esteemed Feathered Pipe elders, my aunt VJ Supera, has spent her life going on high adventures to far off places. She has been an inspiration to generations of travelers and has never been known to let difficulty or discomfort get in her way of serious adventure. One of her biggest adventures was a pilgrimage to Mount Kailash in Tibet. It’s no secret that she lived to tell the tale, but you may not know that it’s also the riveting backstory to how the Feathered Pipe got its stupa. Recently VJ took time out of her busy day to recount her story, The Feathered Pipe Ranch Stupa: How it Came to Be.

While we are on the topics of backstories and Tibet, I’ll put in a word for my favorite nonprofits who started directly from Feathered Pipe Foundation. Not only has Feathered Pipe provided jobs and education for many, but also has spawned and nurtured two—in my opinion, super awesome—nonprofit foundations Tibetan Children’s Education Foundation (TCEF) and Veterans Yoga Project (VYP). It’s fulfilling to see these nonprofits come into their own and flourish.

Life's Richness is in the Stories - Crystal WaterVYP is celebrating its 10-year anniversary! It is doing incredible work using mindfulness, yoga, and meditation as tools to help Veterans and their families.

For over 26 years, TCEF has been helping educate Tibetan children and preserve Tibetan culture in exile and has no doubt impacted the lives of thousands. TCEF is having its annual fundraiser and cultural night on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Please consider joining. Click here register for the Zoom event.

As we count down the days till reopening, we will continue to stay in touch and hopefully delight one another with stories, the Dandelion Effect Podcast, and educational opportunities!

With gratitude,
Crystal Water
