From Wild Places to Inner Spaces — Wild Wonder is an invitation for women in a season of transition, expansion, or longing to slow down.
Wander beyond the expected and immerse yourself in awe, new experiences, curiosity, creativity, and inward listening.
Through yoga and movement, contemplation, nature, and journal art, WILD WONDER invites you to explore, play, and express yourself—without needing to get it “right.” Listen with all your senses. Venture beyond the familiar. Trust your own voice. Make space for what wants to emerge.
What makes WILD WONDER unique:
What makes WILD WONDER unique is not simply the combination of yoga and movement, nature, contemplation, and art, but the way these practices are interconnected and the long relationship Linda and Kate have cultivated practicing and exploring together for more than 25 years from which the retreat has grown. Linda’s teaching has been a meaningful thread throughout Kate’s life, helping her reconnect with and ultimately reclaim herself as an artist.
Their shared journey reflects the heart of WILD WONDER: the power of movement, contemplation, creativity, curiosity, nature, and trusted community to help us reconnect with ourselves, with one another, and with the awe of the natural world.
WILD WONDER Offerings
Kate and Linda meet to curate a retreat experience that naturally emerged over years of learning, teaching, traveling, questioning and ultimately desiring more freedom, joy and personal truth.
Linda brings her expertise in weaving yoga, movement, and contemplative practices into meaningful retreat experiences. She invites retreaters to cultivate steadiness and ease while moving beyond self-imposed limitations and expanding into a bigger sense of SELF. Her teaching encourages us to venture beyond the familiar, open our hearts, and make more compassionate, courageous, and life-affirming choices.
Kate introduces us to her work of Journal Art, in which your journal becomes a place to gather what is being noticed—in nature, the body, the heart, movement, contemplation, and the collective—and give it form through color, marks, words, collage, and play.
The Journal Art emphasis is on the experience of creating rather than the final product. A blank page becomes a place to experiment, follow an impulse, change direction, begin again—or simply ask, “What happens if…?”
Daily Schedule:
6:30am — Sunrise Reflections
7:30-8:30am — Breakfast
9:30-10am — Slow, Fluid Movement Practice
10:15-11:45am — Wisdom Flow
12-1pm — Lunch
1:30-3pm — Journal Art
5-6pm — Whole Body Therapeutics
6:30-7:30pm — Dinner
7:45pm — Bonfire, kick back and be time
How we tie it all together
Rather than treating yoga and art as separate practices, WILD WONDER invites us to experience yoga and movement, nature, contemplation, and art as different pathways into the same questions. What happens when judgment quiets? What happens when we listen with all our senses? What happens when we let go of getting it “right”? What happens when we venture beyond the familiar and trust our inner knowing?
At the heart of this is a simple but powerful idea: wonder can be a pathway to fearlessness. Instead of “What if I get it wrong?” the question becomes, “I wonder what happens if…?”
WILD WONDER invites us to cultivate:
Greater Awareness — noticing what’s happening within and around us.
Embodied Resilience — listening to and trusting our bodies and our SELF
Creative freedom — letting go of “getting it right.”
Inner trust — listening to our own knowing.
Connection — finding reflection, encouragement, and belonging.
A practice to carry home — your art journal, art supplies, and 5 Ways to Use Your Art Journal at Home.
What You May Experience, Discover, or Carry Home:
WILD WONDER is less about teaching us what to discover and more about creating the conditions for discovery to happen. At the heart of this is a simple but powerful idea: wonder can be a pathway to fearlessness. Instead of “What if I get it wrong?” the question becomes, “I wonder what happens if…?” Wonder interrupts judgment. Wonder makes room for experimentation. Wonder allows uncertainty. Wonder opens possibility.
WHAT LINDA & KATE’S STUDENTS & RETREAT ATTENDEES SAY:
“Linda is a diligent student of healing and life affirming practices. As a teacher, she combines her expertise in yoga with curiosity, creativity and deep desire to share with others to bring peace, love, joy and wellbeing. Linda brings people together in a beautiful place, in a beautiful way that allows more beauty to unfold. Thank you.”
“Kate, your creativity, positivity, leadership and generous spirit have left such a bright mark!”
“Linda has a great teaching presence and ability to share her extensive knowledge and experience of yoga with students on a variety of levels, from subtle body level to gross body therapeutics. She offers options for each practice, so each student can adjust to their own level of energy/experience..”
“Kate, your support, advocacy, and friendship made all the difference. I’ve learned so much from the way you build relationships with positivity and grace—it’s a lesson I’ll take with me.”
“Linda is flexible in her approach and she flows with the experience. She is able to ‘read the room’ and pick up on feelings and emotions in the space. Her expertise is how she leads the group – what she says and does makes a difference. Sometimes I feel like she is only talking to me. And I love the fact that Linda gives us time to retreat into our practice and forget the world, yet there is often a ‘statement’ that she’s making/sharing about how to live within the world. It’s hard to put into words, but Linda’s presence lifts me up.”
“Kate, thank you for your thoughtfulness and brightness in all the things you touch. You are an artist in work as well as in life!”

ABOUT LINDA MEACCI:
Linda Meacci (she/her), E-RYT 500, YACEP – From a very young age, I’ve believed that the strongest force of all is love grounded in courage. That belief has shaped my lifelong path of seeking voice and truth through nature, play, the performing arts, expressive movement, community, cultural immersion, solo travel, yoga, and ultimately my sadhanas (spiritual study) of Surat Shabda Yoga.
I began exploring theater, dance, and movement as a child and continued nurturing that creative fire during my early adult years in New York City. There, I discovered yoga—a practice that has shaped my life ever since. I also began journaling in seventh grade, a practice that remains part of my daily contemplative life.
Yoga has been a foundation of my adult life, both as a practitioner and teacher. My expertise lies in teaching through the lens of Eastern and Western principles and practices to illuminate and explore the innate connection between body, feeling, and inner life. My innovative teaching style weaves creative asana flow, therapeutic practices, expressive movement, reflection, universal principles, and guided imagery.
Bringing spontaneity, wonder and joy to what I share, creates a warm, connected space where each of us can discover our “aha” moments, trust our insights and access our authentic nature.
I love collaborating across creative practices, bringing movement into conversation with other forms of self-expression. My intention is to offer meaningful ways for people to explore, imagine, and expand their sense of themselves and the realities we live in.
Linda’s work invites students to take their practice beyond the mat—to become more curious about the forces shaping their lives, open to new possibilities, and connect to the power, joy, and wisdom within.

ABOUT KATE KOLBRENER:
Kate Kolbrener is a mixed-media artist whose creative journey began with a love of making and led to a BFA in metalsmithing and graphic design from the University of Michigan and graduate studies in Interaction Design at Carnegie Mellon University. After a long career in design and marketing—and years spent raising a family and navigating a very full life—Kate returned to a regular art practice as a way of returning to herself.
Through Journal Art and her studio practice, Kate explores creativity as a pathway to presence, curiosity and self-trust. Making art helps her slow down, quiet the inner critic, become comfortable with uncertainty, and listen for what is calling beneath the noise.
Kate approaches facilitating much as she approaches life: with curiosity, openness, encouragement and a willingness to follow what feels true with gusto. Rather than teaching a “right” way to create, she creates permission to experiment, play, change direction and discover what emerges.
She believes creativity is available to everyone—and that when we become present enough to listen to ourselves, art can give form to things we may not yet have words for.
