Join us as we journey into the art and skill of hands on assisting. The art of assisting opens a world of communication between teacher and student, and student to student as we inspire each other with knowledge and create community. We will dive in with conversation, demonstration, guidance, and plenty of practice. We will meet each person where they are, and practice seeing the gold in them.
We hold assisting as inherently respectful, profound, and a gift to both people. Assisting is collaboration, art, and a higher vision. No previous teaching, assisting, yoga style, or bodywork experience is required. Interested students are absolutely invited, as well as teachers of all levels.
The Training: An immersive dive into the art of assisting and alignment for teachers and students that want to deepen their knowledge and understand the beauty of their yoga practice. This is experience is for everyone of all levels-inspired, informed, respectful, and impactful.
The Retreat: Steep yourself in nature, deepen your practice, and nourish your soul.
The Practice: Baptist Power Vinyasa Yoga is classically based, totally adaptable, and totally uplifting.
The Teachers: Elizabeth Huntsman and Julianna Curtis will lead this experience with over three decades of experience teaching, leading, and facilitating. They bring years of training and certification in yoga, fitness, psychology, leadership, and health. Elizabeth and Julianna will share what they have learned and share the beauty of the practice, and the knowledge of the anatomy, alignment, and assists.
Do bring your experience, good cheer, willingness to touch and be touched, and a clear moral compass. WHAT ELIZABETH & JULIANNA’S PAST RETREAT, TRAINING & CLASSES ATTENDEES SAY:
“I attended this assist training with Elizabeth and Julianna last season at The Feathered Pipe. The experience was truly life changing for me. The training was amazing and gave me an entirely new perspective on my yoga practice!”
“The knowledge gained is such a gift, as I now understand my practice and my body which has enhanced my practice so much! I am more mindful in each pose as I know the why behind each movement. The understanding unlocked an entirely new practice for me, and my practice has grown so much!”
“The most beautiful part of the ranch was unplugging from technology, being in touch with nature (including a cold swim in the lake), and the delicious food prepared with so much care for us. We practiced each day in the most gorgeous room filled with amazing energy in front of a fire.
The view from the room was so peaceful, looking at the mountains and the lake. The ranch is magical, the staff are the most caring and nurturing people, the teachers are exceptional and truly love what they do- the experience truly touched my soul and I have so much gratitude for my time there and can’t wait to return!”
“I had been teaching yoga for 8 years when I learned assisting from Elizabeth. She changed the way I fundamentally viewed assisting and I find that I am still using her techniques 15 years later! Her wisdom around assisting and leading others is so much fun, fresh and timeless. Definitely study with Elizabeth if you ever get the opportunity!!”
