Price: 1'895.00

Yoga can help us transcend the boundaries we create for ourselves and travel beyond them into a land without limits. So often we get comfortable with what is familiar and easy, and we wonder why transformation in our practice and our lives eludes us. To realize the fullness of what is possible means moving from the known to the unknown, from confinement to freedom.

In this workshop, two highly respected senior Iyengar Yoga teachers, Patricia Walden and John Schumacher, will use experience built on decades of practice and teaching to guide you from familiar territory into the challenge and mystery of the unknown. With humor, compassion, and a powerful focus born of intense study and devotion, they offer you a unique opportunity to break new ground in your practice and in your life and taste the possibility of freedom that yoga offers.

John Schumacher, a longtime pupil of B.K.S. Iyengar, founded and directs Unity Woods Yoga Center, North America's largest Iyengar Yoga center. John has taught in the Washington, DC area for over thirty years and has trained many yoga teachers nationally and internationally.

Patricia Walden's teaching combines the methodical approach of the Iyengar method with her deep personal experience of the asanas. She recently closed The BKS Iyengar Yoga Studio in Somerville Massachusetts which she co-founded and directed for seventeen years and now teaches in the Boston area for her new Iyengar Yogamala studio without walls. Patricia also teaches nationally as well as internationally and is familiar to many through her award-winning yoga videos.
