Come enjoy your yoga practice in this 5-day vacation with Yoga Journal conference regular Jason Crandell. Said to have a "knack for explaining extremely subtle body movements in ways that anyone can understand (Yoga Journal)" Jason will help you align and refine your practice, providing you with greater skill, safety, awareness, and knowledge in your practice.
Our mornings together will be spent practicing a fluid, effective vinyasa-sequence designed to awaken the body's intelligence and cultivate mindfulness. We'll focus on asana groups such as hip-openers (lotus, anyone?), backbends (I know they're tough, but I'm there for you), arm-balances (you can do it... really), and inversions (done well, nothing beats them). The afternoons will be seriously mellow and most likely consist of forward bends, twists, sidebends, pranayama and seated meditation (hammocks provided for the particularly lazy).
We'll also explore how the asana practice combined with yoga philosophy and basic pranayama can help you weather the stresses and difficulties of your everyday life with resilience and grace.
Jason Crandell is the creator of Yoga Journal's most recent videos, Yoga for Wellbeing and Yoga for Morning, Noon and Night. He's a contributing editor for Yoga Journal, was recently named "one of the next generation of teachers" and teaches internationally at yoga conferences.
