Modern yoga derives from an ancient Tantrik tradition, which taught Yoga as the means to experience divinity within yourself and in the world. In India, Tantra permeated both the Hindu and Buddhist traditions and gave rise to the philosophy and practices found in such traditions as Hatha Yoga, Kashmir Shaivism, and Vajrayana Buddhism (which later traveled to Tibet).

Tantra, which means a loom, is based on alchemical principles that the base metals of our existence can be transformed into the gold of health, happiness, and wisdom. Join Scott and Chandra for an embodied exploration of the practices of Tantrik Yoga, weaving together the powerful practices of yoga asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra, and meditation with tantrik philosophy to bring about transformation of body, mind, and spirit.

Scott Blossom has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and is a licensed Acupuncturist, yoga therapist, and Ayurvedic Consultant. His knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and Ayurveda allow him to teach yoga from a multidimensional perspective, integrating contemporary western and classical eastern concepts of healing and balance.

Chandra Easton has 15 years of combined study and teaching of yoga and Buddhist meditation. She blends the receptive yin style of yoga with more active, dynamic forms to prepare the body/mind for meditation. She studied Buddhism and Tibetan language at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, North India, founded by H. H. the Dalai Lama, and holds a degree in Religious Studies at UCSB.
